Golden Pheasant Inn

I was there for dinner in March just when it reopened under new ownership. It was fantastic. Unfortunately right after they had to close due to COVID. Glad the hear they are now reopened for outside and inside dining. I look forward to going back.

My heart ???? because this place closed down. It's a beautiful property and food there was always fresh and tasty.

My husband and I hurried to try this restaurant once we heard they were closing for good after 30+ years of service on June 2, 2019. Every dish we had was wonderful. I wish they would stay open but I understand wanting to spend more time with family.

Beautiful inn, the staff at the restaurant was super friendly, attentive, professional, knowledgeable. The food was excellent, tho I was disappointed in the onion soup. Odd taste. But the asparagus/ramp appy more than made up for it. The duck was very tasty, tho a little tough. All in all, a wonderful experience.

I had my wedding (both ceremony and reception) here last August and was blown away by the professionalism, attention to detail, enthusiasm, and the attention I received by not only the coordinator, Brittany (who is phenomenal) but by ALL of the staff right down to the servers and bus boys. Every detail was taken care of. Brittany was a humongous help in the planning process, and she made sure the entire day went smoothly. The grounds and the setting of the Golden Pheasant made for absolutely gorgeous pictures that I still fawn over every day. It was the perfect setting for an intimate and private ceremony and reception.

The food and drinks exceeded my expectations and my guests were incredibly happy with their meal selections as well as their appetizers. Unlike most married couples, my husband and I actually got to taste the food served at the cocktail hour because Brittany and her team assembled our own "buffet" in the Delaware Suite where we stayed on our wedding night. The staff made sure we were fed in between photography sessions even though it was such an overwhelming time. The bartender made sure my drink was never empty at all during the entire day - bless him for making all those mojitos. The service was so impressive that one of the waitresses even gave me a calming pep talk and reassuring words before I made my walk down the aisle - she was seriously one of the sweetest people I've ever talked too!

The room was a dream and we seriously felt like royalty in the Delaware Suite, which also made for some beautiful 'getting ready' pictures before the ceremony. The morning after our wedding and our stay, we had an incredible brunch and once again the service was beyond wonderful. Since our wedding, we have been back for meals and we are still blown away by the quality of the food and the friendly and caring service from all staff members. If you are a bride please do not overlook this venue - they seriously made sure the wedding of my dreams became a reality!
