Really quite special - best sushi around
We had just 2 rolls so far, the nobu and the jumbo spider and they were fantastic! Very pleased with the quality and quantity of fish with a good balance of ingredients. Exciteted to come back to try more. Edit - the mochi was pretty bad, hopefully they can improve but the texture and presentation were all wrong. It tasted like ice with no chew and was served with chocolate sauce and whipped cream for the red-bean flavor which was totally off...
Excellent prices, modern atmosphere, and really good food. I enjoyed their sushi sampler and their pork Katsu don which I would highly recommend to anyone. Great place to grab dinner before heading to the movie theater nearby!
First and perhaps not fair in stating before food quality, this is a BYOB sushi bar three doors down from a state store. That's pretty great in itself and I did not see a corking fee on my bill. The atmosphere is dim with subtle formality, but not overly intimate. Did I mention it's BYOB? The sushi selection is very impressive. It downright immense and I admit, I didn't dive into the more interesting options. What I chose was delicious, especially for an inland sushi spot in suburbia. Service was excellent, but it was not very busy... probably because it's newer, it's location is not ideal, and not enough people know its there. If I include the bottle of wine in the price, I still spent under $45 for a bottle o'wine, two house salads, 5 rolls, and 2 teas. Not an easy thing to do for good food in a suburb that is seething with food-court quality food at other establishments. Will be back to be more adventurous and will update accordingly.
Great value, quality, service, presentation and variety! I wish they lived closer...I love their beef tataki, and have a hard time passing up their chirashi. Support this restaurant, people! They are not nearly busy enough! Just remember they are closed on Sunday....made that mistake once!
Best sushi we have ever had!!! Amazing!!! Super nice people, who truly care about you and your enjoyment of your meal. Shogun roll, Nobu roll and Sexy Salmon are favorites. Our kids come in from Philly & the place they insist on eating at is Ryu Gin Sushi! I love their Hibachi Shrimp!
