“Surprise Southmont, we have a sushi house!!! The chicken fried rice was the freshest I’ve ever had, with a fried egg on top to boot, and the Yaki Udon might be my new favorite dish period! I love green onions and this dish did NOT disappoint! The highlight though was the Golden California deep fried roll, which was absolutely one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had anywhere. This place is an absolute must try!!! Don’t walk, run there!”

“Stop looking and eat here! It IS takeout only, however the food is legit. We tried about half the menu. Everything was amazing. You know a restaurant is great when even the sides like beans and rice are top notch. Zilpah was very nice and helpful on the phone. The prices were very reasonable as well. I wish we lived closer! “Very fresh pita on my lamb Gyro, which was extremely delicious and fresh. The sandwiches come with a side of shoe string fries (not listed on the menu). The fries were crisp and well seasoned. The staff were very friendly. They did have some technical difficulties with the register, but they just opened, so please give them some growing time.”

I was there on a Friday night, and my server was overwhelmed so my service fell off badly, which is why I gave them 4 stars and not 5. “I come from New Jersey/New York--Reuben sandwich country--and this is one of the best I have had anywhere. The rye bread, of course, is the highlight. It's not easy to find bread that good no matter where you are. Everything else was great too--the iced tea, the potato salad, and, of course, the gob. Ryan himself was there and was an excellent host. Can't wait to try the bagels (but they sell out quick!)”

“We eat here somewhat often. It's a great place for drinks - I love the rotating sangria/drink flavors. Apps are great and food is normal tavern flair. Always look at the specials - my favorite has been the pear sacchetti with walnut cream sauce. Get dessert! Cinnamon rolls, funnel cake fries... great for a night out. Kelly is usually our server and she is awesome. More staff is definitely needed, but that's the norm. Also.. charcuterie! Great for takeout, but just as good for dining in.”
