My boyfriend often stops in here for a couple slices
at lunch time and enjoys it, so when we were in the neighborhood for dinner we decided to give it a shot. He got sandwich which he said was noticeably less impressive than in the afternoons when the owner is in. I paid about 11 dollars for one of the most disappointing salads I have ever had.
We chose seats near the entrance to the kitchen, and when I saw a woman open the freezer and pull out a couple chunks of chicken, already cooked, with her bare hands, my expectations weren't high for the chicken. It was as I expected, and the vegetables themselves didn't seem at all fresh.
I suppose if you're looking for pizza by the slice, it's a good place for a quick stop at lunchtime when they're busy. Otherwise, I don't think I'd go back.
Wonderful place. Used to live in state college and visited this place quite often. Now I make time once a year to get their food. The calzones are amazing and the amount of cheese they put on their bread sticks is crazy food. Most places give you a thin layer of cheese like 1mm. Not them, theres like 1 cm thickness of cheese on each slice.
Homey Italian diner... Great food, fresh dough, mood that keeps bringing you back, unbeatable stromboli and slice.
Even the prices are wonderful!
Their ???? is great! Other than eating their own cooked pizza though, we like to get their pizza dough (dough balls) and make our own pizza... It makes for a fun Friday night pizza party with friends. Plus, their large dough ball is only about $2
