“Just wanted a strawberry milkshake. 2 problems here: When did everyone start putting domed tops on takeout milkshakes. And when you ask them to NOT put whipping cream on top, you'd think you grew a third eye. Don't get me wrong, DQ is not the only one doing this, I just generally find it annoying. Along with the open hard to deal with domed top, there was another problem. The strawberries in the shake were barley cut up. This is not a complaint about using whole fresh strawberries chopped into it, but in not chopping it up enough. Maybe my mistake was that I planned to try to drink it while driving... Big chunks of strawberry do not fit through a straw. Despite the flavor being very good and as expected. I was not safely able to drink it while driving and would have been equally annoyed if I had eaten in the restaurant.”

“Kinda sucks that this place has gone downhill. Food quality the past two times I've been has been mediocre at best. Service is barely passable. There's nothing particularly terrible about the food, but most of it seems to just be kinda... meh. There's constantly empty trays out, even during peak dinner hours. Service wasn't good. We only had our drinks refilled once during the hour that we were there, and all of us got water. We had to ask for the refill. The waitress bussed out table twice before even noticing that the cups were empty. Honestly don't know how something like that could slip your mind.”

“We visited from out of town and surprised them with an 11 person party. They had us seated within a few minutes. Service was excellent and the food was great. Our son accidentally left his favorite toy plane behind and we were packing to leave two hours away before we realized it. I called and they had the toy. They shipped it to us. Really thankful they went out of their way to reunite it with our son. Talk about satisfying a customer! ????”

“Always a good restaurant for comfort food. My sons took me out for Mother's Day, and at our table we had steak, chicken fried steak, and breakfast. I love the variety at all times of the day. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. The service was good, and cost is always reasonable. The store is a bonus and always fun to look through.”

“Normally a nice place our waitress was great really nice but the men's room both room was messed up. And I think the other girl though I was going to leave without paying or something because after I left the restroom. And was heading to the registers she totally blocked my path to the registers. And very rudely asked if she could help me. I told her I was done and going to pay. So she moved and I paid the bill and left. But maybe I took it the wrong way. The few times I've been there before it was good. And the food has always been very good. But the need to bring back the steak and cheese covered fries they were awesome.”

“Love going to chop house. Tonight I had the beer battered cod. It was really good but here's my suggestion. Anybody can serve you three little pieces of fish and some fries. Want to make yours more appealing? Bring me out one big honking piece of fish so everybody goes wow look at that! That looks so good! Presentation is the key. Make everyone want to order what they see you getting. There's lots of great places to get some fried fish like the Fire House and sorry chop house but bagged salad doesn't cut it. Fire House salads are beautiful every time. Just my thoughts.”

I ordered "2 eggs" and you can see in the photo I was served much more than 2 eggs. Toast could have been a little crisper. Pancake was huge, and a little dense, but flavor was full. Bacon was crisp. Sausage was juciy. Potatoes a little bland but good texture. Service was quick and efficient. I would eat here again.”

“Enjoyed dinner there last evening, arrived at 6:45. It is a popular place, but small and cannot accommodate many . They have an outdoor patio on the lake if you like outdoors. Seated in lakeside room around 8 pm. But were offered non lakeside room earlier and chose to wait at bar. The Prime Rib and Salmon were great. Other: my baked potato was greasy or old (brownish) which was disappointing considering the long wait for a table. We like the lakeside views. Will try again and go earlier next time, like 5 pm. Smile.”
