Luna Italian Cuisine

A tale of hits and misses.

Overall this Italian restaurant is well worth a visit. The restaurant is very well decorated. Beautiful and well laid out. They did a fantastic job of using noise panels to keep the ambient sound down in what is otherwise an open room.

For the most part the food is very good. There were hits and there were misses. Instead of bread you are given small cubes of fried polenta. Awesome idea; but ours were a bit stale and dry. They needed something...

The grilled octopus appetizer was beautifully presented but lacked any real flavor. A touch of lemon could have gone a long way. The pairing of the octopus with garlic smashed potatoes was an interesting choice. The Tuna tartar appetizer was a massive portion and simply delicious. We ended up using some of the polenta cubes with it!

The craft cocktails were very good. But if you want to drink wine, I recommend you bring your own. The wine selection consists of wines made by the owner. While they are ok for home made wine.... At $14 a glass, you are better off bringing something you know you will enjoy.

The entrees followed suit. The mushroom & truffle risotto was excellent. I would come back for this dish alone. A big standout! They fell a bit short on the lollipop lamb chops. They looked awesome in the display case when you walk in; but were served overcooked (ordered medium-rare). They actually looked like they were boiled, as they were bland gray in color and cooked all the way through. There was no evidence of grill marks at all.

Desert and coffee was very nice. The Creme Brulé was very good and so was the cannoli.

Service was attentive and professional. Ask for Josh. He did a very good job.

We will come back but will probably stick with the pasta.

The ceasr salad was very good

Food and service were excellent. 2021 Chardonnay was great. For some unknown reason they don’t have Pinot Noir. Parking is plenty. Food is on the expensive side. The only concern I had was the acoustics- was very noisy in there. With a full house, we couldn’t hear each other unless we shouted. But all new restaurants are constructed without any noise control.

Best restaurant in the area! If you are looking for a true italian experience this is the place to go. The tuna tartar was spectacular. And the clam spaghetthi along with the spinach “arancini” was to die for. The staff is very friendly, and experts when it comes to suggesting what to order. We will definitely be coming back! 🔝

This was our first time eating at Luna, and it was amazing! We made a reservation for 6:30, and were seated immediately. Our server was Haley, and she was incredible! The food was delicious, authentic Italian food, and the wine was tasty! This might just be my new favorite Italian spot! I can’t wait to go during the summer when the patio is open!

From start to finish, we had a wonderful time here! Our our entrees and dessert were delicious, including the complimentary bread/ red sauce. The service by Haley was friendly, attentive, and quick. The atmosphere was inviting and clean. We’ll definitely be back!
