Over the years, I have been going to McDonald’s less and less because my favorite burger, the Big Mac, became less and less of a decent burger. On a road trip a friend demanded we stop. He ordered a specialty burger, something like a steakhouse burger, and I ordered a quarter pounder with cheese. After separating the food, I took a bite of my burger and truly thought I had bitten into his burger. It was like rediscovering McDonald’s all over again. It was freaking amazing. I still miss the fries as they were in the 80s and I would like McDonald’s to do a better job of buying sustainable meats, but I do like McDonald’s again.
