I was leery when I first walked in, but was wowed by the food. Everything was excellent! Service was wonderful, food spectacular, and everyone left very, very full and happy.

Sammy's is always top notch, from the excellent service, to the delicious meals, to the superb desserts, to Sammy himself. A warm, fun place to enjoy a homemade dinner. Quality dishes, seasoned and prepared just right. Owner and Chef Sammy is very personable, and shows his appreciation each time you visit. Extremely friendly. My wife and I have eaten here many times over the years, and have never been disappointed. GO SAMMY! A perfect 10 all the time!!!

We have been coming to Sammy’s for almost 20 years and it is our family’s favorite restaurant. The food and service are excellent. It reminds us of a small Italian restaurant that you would find in NYC - tables close together...a place to bring a bottle of wine and enjoy great food and conversation.

We’ve only had one bad experience here and it had nothing to do with Sammy and his staff. In this unfortunate case they quickly handled a disgruntled couple at the table next to us and asked them to not return to the restaurant. After loudly and rudely complaining about every minor detail of their dining experience the gentleman at the next table (without irony) asked our table to keep our voices down. We are grateful for Sammy and his staff for how they quickly responded to the couple becoming more and more agitated. This is obviously not the appropriate forum to litigate different versions of the same story between reviewers, but suffice it to say that the whole restaurant (loudly) celebrated when this couple finally left.

Please don’t allow a single smear review to influence whether you would give Sammy’s a try. Believe the many positive reviews. It’s a great restaurant and you’ll enjoy it.
