“New favorite restaurant in Middletown! The owner Doug was great, very personable and seems like he has a lot of good ideas for the place. The bar is opening soon and definitely seems like my new hangout spot. We sat down for dinner and ordered the gnocchi with bolognese and the primavera ravioli. SO DELICIOUS! The sauce and the pasta were just amazing. It also came with a house salad and bread, also great. The homemade dressing was phenomenal. If you’re looking for a place with great food and service definitely go check it out!”

“Rich flavorful experience. Banana split contained at least 1 pound of wonderful tasting ice cream with an abundance of toppings included. Kids had cones of Superman and cookie dough ice cream and they were thrilled. To top it off our 5 year old only like DQ star kisses and they had an ice cream that supposably tasted just like it…. Great small town shop with a big time experience.”

“My son and I came here for dinner for the 1st time this evening after his baseball practice. It was pretty busy in the bar area and there were a few tables filled in the dining area as well. There was 1 young lady, that I believe she said was the manager, that was running around that place like Speedy Gonzalez and taking care of everything. It was impressive. Our food was good and not too expensive and while we had a little bit of a longer wait than anticipated our service more than made up for the wait. She was very attentive to everyone's needs and always made sure we were full on drinks. She apologized profusely for the wait which wasn't an issue as we weren't in a hurry to get anywhere and I know it's hard to find people who want to work with pandemic still going on. She even gave my son some tiramisu and ice cream for the wait. It wasn't necessary but he loved it. Overall, we enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere, and especially the service. Max... give that young lady a raise and some time off! We'll be back again.”

“The service, including food dropped off at your table, at this location rivals a famous chicken joint. As for their flame hot burgers and sliders, best in town. Their fries also surprised me. Clean, well lit and nicely decorated in standard industry fashion, with pleasant music creating a very nice ambiance for a family. And for the price, you can't beat it! “Pretty average place. Nothing special but not terrible either. Had the hunan style beef that was labeled as spicy on the menu, and I confirmed with the guy working. It was not spicy at all. The sesame chicken was decent. Egg rolls were pretty unremarkable. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean. Portion sizes were fine although it wasn't that cheap. Overall I'd say it's worth going to if you're nearby and craving this kind of food. Otherwise there are better options.”

Its a darker, old school bar feel that we all need more of! 4 tap draft beer system (ML, CL, M Ultra & the oldest brewery in America) that was reeeaal cold! “I wasn't sure what to expect but was very pleased. Portion sizes were great. I got the lasagna from the daily specials menu, great portion size, and better than expected. We ordered 2 kid meals cheeseburger was good size for a 6 yr old, and we got the turkey for our 4 yr old, of which honestly was big enough to feed all 3 of our kids. Prices were pretty reasonable too. If you have small children, who like to see toy trains, ask to sit upstairs.”

“It seems as though this venue may be under new management within the last year or so. The service has slipped a little and some of their choices are a little out of place. Went with my parents for Mother's Day and there was a guy with a guitar singing a jaunty original song called "Sock Monkey Train" too loudly for the room. He sang this particular selection 3 times within an hour. Otherwise, the venue is gorgeous, classy, and romantic with unrivaled ambiance, delicious mainstay menu items, exciting desserts, and an enchanting herb garden out back. I hope they get back on track. My family and I have been eating here for special occasions for maybe 15 years.”
