I usually don’t line BBQ. However, this place made me to like. The portions are very big and tasty. I definitely recommend this place.
Smokehouse is a solid visit with a good selection of BBQ staples for a decent price. Nestled in the heart of Amish country, you really can't ask for much more than Smokehouse offers. The barbecue is tender and tasty, the sides are quite good, and the PA dutch staple shoo fly pie is delicious. A mostly open dining area provides a laid back country atmosphere, and where else can you pick up a jar of jam and straw hat or a bonnet at the general store on your way out?
This was my first visit here and I was quite pleased. When we arrived it was quite empty, but it did not take long to start getting filled up once it got a little closer to dinner.
The wait staff was very friendly and on top of keeping drinks full and making sure nothing else was needed.
When it came to the food I can say it was very good. I got the pulled pork sandwich with cheese and pickles, paired along with the apple sauce the flavor was great. They do not seem to skimp on the amount of meat on the sandwich either. I had also got a side of mac n cheese which just helped top the meal off.
I can say I would come back here again with no problem
