Zook's Homemade Chicken Pies

Their chicken pot pie is amazing. I bought four pies off of one small sample and they don't disappoint.

I bought a pie at Bird in Hand farmers market and at September Farms, I love them, the next time I am out that way I will stop by the store and pick up several for the freezer. I made a chicken pie for dinner the other night and my grandson (very picky eater) ate 2 large helpings. Thank you, now I need to try the sausage one.

These pies are delicious! I've had the chicken and the sausage pies. Both were great and remind me of the pies my mom used to make. I can't wait to try the beef pie.

I drove by this place after it closed and was very disappointed that I couldn't pick up some chicken pot pies. Last weekend, I was driving down rt 15, crossed into MD from PA... And saw a market on my right, about 50-ish miles South of Harrisburg. The name of the market is Catoctin Mountain Orchard. I decided to stop and was surprised to see the Zook's pies in their freezer... Beef and chicken. There were only 2 of each left, and I got the last 2 chicken. I baked one tonight. I followed the instructions and baked it in my little toaster oven. It was perfect! There are huge chunks of chicken pieces, and it didn't run all over as I thought it would when I was cutting a slice. The crust was delicious!! The pie was so yummy! I'm going to get more the next time I drive by that market since it is closer to me than Lancaster. Highly recommended.
