“This was our first time at Byler's Family Restaurant. It is a very friendly, welcoming place. Our server was helpful & attentive. Our lunches were very tasty & filling with berry pie for dessert. Yumoo! The owner came around to be sure all was good. We will go back!”

“Delicious food; very reasonable prices. I had a western omelette that was chock-full of peppers, onions, ham, and tomatoes and two big pieces of sourdough toast for $6. Diner atmosphere. Excellent cooking.”

“My mom and I had delicious grilled chicken salads. The meat was hot and well cooked. It even had hard-boiled eggs, something I love on a salad. I could've used a little more salad dressing, but I made do. Our server was kind and attentive without hovering. This is an extremely affordable restaurant, too. I think our bill was around $13 for two lunch sized salads and two waters with lemon. The owner recently remodeled and brought it into the 21st century. It'd been locked in the 70s for a long time. They're still remodeling the bathrooms, but the adjoining restaurant has nice, clean bathrooms available. We'll be eating at Common Grounds again soon.”

“I liked the look of the place. The menu was descriptive and everything read well. I got the surf and turf and topped my steak with bleu cheese. My steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. I was not disappointed in the food. Service was a bit slow. I was never asked for a refill. And Wasn't too happy watching the cook or dishwasher carry out the food. It was not that busy at the time.”

“Recently under new ownership. Now operating as The Dutch Oven, the menu is the same. Service is friendly, depending on the person. Food is pretty good, depending on what you get. Pizza is probably their best, and the burgers are nice as well.”
