Our waitress Sue was amazing and sweet. Service was impeccable. We are from New Jersey and are sometimes weary about trying a new place out of state. DO NOT hesitate to come eat here. We did not get anything fancy, however the burgers were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. They sang happy birthday to my daughter and she loved her food as well. We will be back on our next visit!
Food was good. Prices are reasonable for the quality. If you're looking for a cheap meal this is not your place though. Selection is limited with a smaller menu. The service was good and the atmosphere is great. Awesome place if you're a history buff like myself.
Good good . Plesent service. The decorations were nice and historic. A good mix of choices of dishes and drinks. Would go again when in town. Great location near all. Enjoy!!!
We generally come here for special occasions and today it was Valentine's Day .... we both ordered the same dinner...half a rack of ribs. They were smothered in bbq sauce, just the way I like it...fall off the bone tender and tasty. The baked potato was cooked perfectly and was served with butter and sour cream. I was a bit surprised that no vegetable was offered. There may have been one on the sides menu, but generally speaking, a vegetable is usually a given. Certainly not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice. I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that the place is starting to look its age. A coat of paint perhaps? Fix the cracks in the ceiling? It's a lovely old place really, just needs a little TLC. Oh, and one more thing on a positive note , the price was right! $47.60 for dinner and dessert? Hard to beat that! We generally spend about $30 just for lunch at a diner, really good food in a beautiful atmosphere for just under $50? That's a deal maker!
Went here after a day at Camelback. Was very close to the mountain and was easy to find. There was a short wait on a Saturday which was very nice and the bar was good. Got a rib eye steak and it was pretty average at best. Service was great, atmosphere was also great. Food left a lot to be desired. Would have given it a higher rating if they had just seared the steak. Tasted like it was left on a cool griddle. I will be back to get bar food (burger and fries) and see how that goes. I get the feeling the feeling I was expecting more from this place then I should have.
