Everyone time I go it's a great experience, from the ultra-friendly staff, to the food, to the entertainment (be it karaoke or live music). They have an outdoor space that rivals any other local pub (although it has no roof, so rain literally puts a damper on hanging outside. Only 1 small area has a canape cover). The menu is big enough but not too big. A couple favorites are the spinach and artichoke dip with housemade pita chips. I also love the Black Russian sandwich. It's a grilled Reuben on pumpernickel bread, but there are many varied items to choose from.
Mostly I go for Karaoke. The songs selected there are often classic rock or current popular songs. Regardless, the vocal talent is top notch! The bartenders sing, the KJ, Christine, has a voice that is better than the original artist in most cases. I hear songs at OPP that you normally do not hear at karaoke. Overall, we are lucky to have this gem in the Poconos!
I ate here today and it was a very nice experience. Although the curb appeal is not the greatest the interior is clean, modern, and welcoming. There is an assortment of booths, regular tables, high tops and bar seating. Plenty of parking. The menu has a wide variety of options and they even stock gluten free bread (if that’s your thing). Although the coffee I got was pretty burnt, I would 100% recommend stopping in and enjoying a meal or drinks with friends or family. I guess there is a reason they have been in business since 1923.
Food, service was excellent. Didn't feel rushed because the place was busy. Can't complain about the prices either. Felt right at home. I've been living here for 3 years and finally went in, this restaurant and bar is a jewel. I will definitely be going back!
We had an excellent meal and a great time. The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. Our server, Suzanne, greeted us with a smile and a friendly hello when we first walked in. She was a fantastic server and very attentive. We will surely be back.
Just ok. Our server was friendly but it was louder than we hoped with loud background music. Food was fine — better than it looked like it would be based on the look of the place. It is a very casual neighborhood pub feel and nice that it wasn’t a chain. Salmon was surprisingly good but strangely broken up. Lava cake had a crab flavor with seasoning around the rim but waitress did not remove it from the bill. All in all it was fine but we will try somewhere else next time.
