Great food and great beer . We drive everywhere for local food and beer and can't find that perfect place .
This may be one if them .
We will be doing back.
The drive is an hour for us but we'll worth it
Beer was cold and food was hot .
Great BBQ and beers. Enjoyed the experience. I'll be back.
I love this place! I wish we would think to go here more often. They have some really great beers. Their food is bbq and it's awesome! My husband and I shared the ribs. Our son had the brisket sandwich. Part of the fun is deciding which sauce to use since they have 4 regional kinds. All are good.
This is an update to my original post over a year ago. See below to see the old post. After the broken pipe that unfortunately occurred in January, 2017, we returned a few times because of the impact this place had on us with their great beer and AWESOME BBQ. However, it wasn't the same. The beer was decent, the wings did not appear or taste like they were smoked (they were way better just smoked rather than smoked, then flash fried), and the pulled pork sandwich was good, but kind of dry. And no Austin sauce? This is definitely a good place for a beer and a sandwich, but I think we had such high expectations after the reopening occurred that weren't met. May be we have to give it another shot sometime.
My post from late 2016: 'Been waiting a long time for Tin Lizard to open! Great food, and AWESOME tasting beer. This is my 36th brewery I've visited, and I certainly rate this brewery in my top 5! I'm more of a dark beer drinker, but you must try their red ale. I had their wings dry battered and added their selection of sauces to try them all out. They were all great sauces and very tasty, fall-off-the-bone wings! You have to try the "Austin Sauce." And their Andouille Sandwich = phenomenal. A must try!'
