“Quiet bagel place with a wide variety of bagel and cream cheese flavors. My sister and I came here for a quick breakfast on Saturday morning and the place was relatively empty. My sister enjoyed her onion bagel with scallion cream cheese. My rosemary and olive oil bagel was rock hard and when I made the complaint after taking one bite, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. She immediately switched out my bagel with a plain one that was fresh out of the oven. The bagels are quite small in size and pricing was steep for what you get ($5.75 each for a bagel and scallion cream cheese) but the food tasted fine once I got mine replaced. All in all, I would not frequent this restaurant, but I would stop by on occasion whenever I felt like a quick bagel.”

“Moved to the area a few wks ago and finally came in to check out the place . I did liked the place , the service was a bit awkward ( due to language barrier somewhat), as for the food was kinda disappointing. The soup or whatever is that was soooo fishy in taste and smell that made me gag. I didn’t even bothered to eat more than a couple spoon of it to make sure I wasn’t missing much. I had it before in other places and this was the worse I ever experienced. As for the food was ok. The sauce was ice cold,the cucumber looked bad but was actually fine. The chicken and rice were ok. As for the other dish with ribs, were somewhat raw and the noodles that came with it looked like ramen noodles with some flavor even though the girl said were something else. For the price of it all, was expensive and not worth it. The good part of this experience was the quiet and clean the place was . My dish (chicken and rice) was mostly good.”

The enchiladas el patron (spinach enchiladas) with skirt steak was all seasoned incredibly well, even the side of beans (not pictured) Waitstaff was friendly and a little nervous, but overall, they did a great job. Meals came out as soon as they were prepared. The menu is very extensive & much more than tacos & enchiladas they have steak, chicken, shrimp dishes as well.”

“Excellent service and huge portions. I love that you can get single tacos for variety, including the shrimp, fish, and al pastor tacos. My husband got a humongous burrito smothered in a cheese and chorizo sauce. The star of the show was the guacamole with warm chips, shrimp taco (with delicious slaw), and the refried beans. “Ay first I didn’t want to go to this place because of all the negative review but my friend really wanted to go to a hookah lounge and this was the the nearest one. I must say I was surprised at the over all experience I had here. The place and staff are amazing. The food is awesome the hookah is one of the best I have had in a hookah lounge (they use coconut coals). They charge you for BYOB which is stated in the menu but they bring you a bucket of ice and cups. Overall I will be coming back to this place. Very nice.”

“Came here on a whim one night and was not disappointed! My friend and I shared the chashu onigiri appetizer and the takoyaki, which were both delicious. I then ordered the Yamazaki special ramen — the broth was so rich and flavorful! I only wish they would have given a bit more broth in the bowl, as the noodle-to-broth ratio was somewhat off. Otherwise, I had a very enjoyable meal and look forward to returning!”

The game moderators helped us get started with game selection but once we were comfortable we went and tried out different things. The staff regularly checked in to see how we were. “A hidden gem on Bala Ave! Everything we had was delicious and fresh. We skew towards vegetarian, and so tried the pinapple cashew fried rice dish and the baked glass noodles with tofu, and both were yummy, flavorful, and comforting. The appetizer veggie roll containing yam, taro, and mushrooms with a chili sauce was equally as tasty. We will definitely be back again and hope to see additional veggie options in the future.”

“Incredible! So excited that this place just opened. It is truly a cut above your typical sushi place, with dishes and rolls that are innovative and well-composed. I had the beauty Alaskan roll with black rice and it was SO GOOD. I love that they offer black rice which has a great texture and is very healthy.
