The Wilbur Mansion

We went here this past weekend with another couple. It was the first for all of us.
Location is great because no fighting on Main Street for parking.
Reservations were made about 3+ weeks in advance. Reservations were for 7:00 but table wasn’t ready. This was not a big deal as we waited in a seating area until our table was ready. I also liked how the host was overly apologetic for maybe, a 15 minute wait, definitely not longer. He was respectful our our time and that was refreshing considering that he couldn’t control when the other people were actually going to get up from the table. It was also the weekend before Valentine’s Day-❤️. The restaurant was definitely busy.
Once we were seated and given menus, and a special menu for ❤️Day, Janine our server came over to get our cocktail order so we would have time to look over the menus. Forgive me if I didn’t get the name exact but the acoustic in the restaurant not the best if they are busy and patrons do not hear the greatest with all the background noise. Once she came back with our yummy beverages, she proceeded to take our orders. Shortly afterwards, a small treat was brought out to each of us. It was a prosciutto wrapped shrimp. Also a very delicious treat. Next our entree where sent out in a timely manner for all of us to enjoy. We all ordered different items from the menu that we were all happy with our choices. Presentation was lovely as well. Sorry I do not have photos to post. We did not order appetizers only because we are typically people who would choose a dessert over an appetizer -😁.
The only true negative thing I could say about The Wilbur, is that the severer was asking about ordering dessert and I was not done eating my entree. For an upscale restaurant, this is a big NO NO in my book. Not only is it not polite but then I felt rushed. We just stated the obvious, that I hadn’t finished my dinner and could she please check back in a little bit. She then did check back in bit, cleared my plate and asked the question again. Of course we said yes please. She brought out a beautifully laid out dessert platter with the dessert for us to see. We ordered our dessert and then we paid our bill.
On the way out, the host again apologized for the small insignificant wait and we said we will gladly visit again.
This is a pricey establishment but well worth the price paid. Our bill without tip was about $150.00. This was for two cocktails, two entrees and a shareable dessert.
Enjoyable for sure.

The Wilbur Mansion is a very nice hotel with a fine restaurant and event areas. We made reservations for their Sunday brunch, so we didn't stay overnight or use their event areas but the place looked luxurious.

The food and drinks were excellent, the latter being on the expensive side. The service was great but the drinks and food took some time to arrive but we did have a large party and were conversing anyways. They didn't add gratuity to the total bill either. Definitely one of the best brunches I've had in a while, and I got their breakfast bowl.

We had our wedding reception at The Wilbur Mansion in winter 2023. Everything from the staff to the venue was wonderful. Everyone I worked with during the planning process was professional and quick with responses. They truly made me feel like they wanted us to have an amazing event. Personal details were provided and I loved that they only host one event at a time. Customer service is 10/10.

Our guests were so impressed with the quality of the food served during dinner - hot and perfectly prepared! The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a beautiful place to get married or host any kind of event. And the rooms are beautiful, spacious, and comfortable!

What a great night at the Wilbur! Dinner was incredible! We got a bunch of small plates and just shared. There was so much food we had to wrap something up.

We spent the night, and since we were the only people with reservations, they gave us a complimentary upgrade. The bed was so comfortable in the bathroom is gorgeous! I highly recommend this place we had a wonderful time!

Kaitlyn was a doll and Jamie the waitress was wonderful

My wife and I went to the restaurant for dinner but we didn't spend the night. Restaurant was amazing and we'll definitely be back. The presentation of the cocktails was amazing and highly recommend the smoked Paloma. Oysters and lobster bisque were great. And the duck is a must have. Staff were super friendly and the ambience was spectacular. There are restaurants that claim to be the best but the Wilbur Mansion is up there.
