Long John Silver's

It's not only the food that's good, but rather the maritime feel of the experience. From the nautical decor to the batter dipped fish balls (I believe LJS uses the family-friendly "hush puppies" designation, but I prefer fish balls) I feel like a satisfied seafarer on my way out, my belly full of fish and oddly enough, chicken. I ring the bell and nod at the counter person. I'll see you again, sailor.

It took about 20-30 minutes for my mom to get her to go order, with only a handful of people dining there. It's not like they got slammed with orders. She also used an email coupon for $3 off a meal land they charged her normal price and didn't even give her the drinks that were supposed to come with it. She said something and the cashier lady said she gave my mom the discount, which the receipt clearly stated she didn't receive the discount. After being on our feet for a long time at a kids consignment sale, she didn't want to argue with anyone... just wanted to go home. Place is going down hill!

I have been here a couple of times. Growing up I liked Long John Silvers, but now the fish is only so-so. I still like their cole slaw and hush puppies and a few other sides. We probably pick up from here two times a year and it is not bad for fast food. We dined in today and it was nice. The decor and service is excellent. I tried a deep fried Twinkie and it was not that great. The fish ???? was well cooked. I have mine with malt vinegar and it was still crispy.
