Detzi's Tavern

A finer cheesesteak in the slate belt area you will not find than that of Detzi's Tavern. I recommend a Wednesday night visit for wings and beer. Good burgers and pizza too. It offers a sports bar atmosphere with an accommodating and friendly staff that is an absolute must visit for a quick bite or a get together with the whole family.

ABSOLUTELY love it there. Food and service are great. Can't wait to get back there again.

Try the pizza! There food is excellent!! The staff and service is also very nice and always will be there for you. A family friendly atmosphere. Working at Hercules Cement some of us come in to eat often and have a good laugh.
Stop in for some good food you won't be disappointed.

When you go there you'll enjoy the warm atmosphere and hospitality. On our last visit we sat at the bar. Even though it was a busy Friday night, bartenders John and Becka were quick and attentive to our needs and they graciously accommodated our special meal request. And don't be surprised if one of the owners, Joe or John, stops by to say hello. This night it was Joe. We WILL be back. By the way, you will always find a game on one of the TVs.

This busy local pub/restaurant is a great place. It's always busy which I think is a sign that they're doing things right. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are filling. We've had the sandwiches, wings, and some appetizers which were all excellent. The servers are good at their jobs and very helpful. This has become a regular place for us. If you're nearby, you should give it a try.
