Santucci's Original Square Pizza Roxborough

Went to this location when it first opened and the pie was super hot and liquidy. We actually didn’t think it was THAT good... it was good but not like the best in the neighborhood per se. Then we realized we were wrong. A few weeks later we randomly ordered it to-go. By the time we got it home the pie cooled down. It sets up really well and transforms to become incredible. There’s really nothing like it as far as we can tell. One square pie feeds 3 people pretty well and for about $20 there’s not a lot of take-out that compares.

Went in after hearing mixed reviews about this place and left extremly satisfied and wanting to return. Very reasonably priced food, with much larger portions than expected. Ordered the short rib fries with provolone for a starter and that alone could have been a meal. Massive amounts of short rib over fresh cut fries. Pizza was not your traditional pizza, but delicious if wanting to mix things up. Left full and with leftovers. Place is cash only which is a little annoying especially because it's not advertised well. Negatives were that there were a good deal of fruit flies hanging around the place and not very good heat, especially when placed right by the windows like I was; had to keep my coat on half the time. Overall, very good experience and will be back.

Their pizza is my FAVORITE. Very authentic. Smells delicious. Thick crust. Tasty sauce. Not too cheesy. One con is the price, although it's absolutely worth it when you bite into a slice of pizza.
