This is the Mexican spot to go to on this side of town! Super fresh ingredients, great guacamole, superb food and an otherwise cheerful attitude from the staff. Awesome quesadillas and drinks in particular.
I chose la llorona for a employment appreciation dinner.
Making a reservation was extremely easy. The stuff was accommodating, the food came out promptly, and it was very tasty. The drinks were smooth and flavorful. We were treated with special kindness. The only downside was the sitting; the tables were really low and small, making it a little uncomfortable to eat. Other than that the place is very pleasant! Would love to see some tres leches on the dessert menu.
The best meal out we've had in months! Atmosphere was pleasant despite being on the corner of a busy intersection, cocktails were unique and delicious, service was attentive but not overwhelming (thanks Madison!). As for the food: amazing. My boyfriend had the al pastor tacos and suggested they were the best he's had outside of Mexico. As for myself, the shrimp and watermelon tostado was a winner.
The service was great. The food came out quickly and the server was attentive. The food was very tasty but I thought the drinks were okay. The place features small plates (which I wasn’t aware of) so I was pretty disappointed at the portion size. However the plates are priced as regular plates.
I couldn't be happier with La Llorona. The food is incredible, as if made straight from the heart. Not only that, but the chef's are quick to churn orders out. The entire wait staff is very attentive, expedient with getting your drinks/food and are overall extremely pleasant. On my first visit, my boyfriend and I had wanted to try a few different tequilas, to which they gave us tequila flights with sliced orange and special salts. Highly recommend anyone to go here if they enjoy authentic, delicious food and drink. Will absolutely be returning.
