Le Virtù

I’ve eaten in almost all the top Italian restaurants in Philly since moving here 2 years ago. Perhaps their staff is strained from quarantine, but honestly I was underwhelmed by our dinner here. The Monkfish cakes were hard and overwhelmed in Old Bay seasoning. The mushrooms in the tagliatelle were poorly rehydrated and still woody tasting, and the panna cotta (that I received instead of the chocolate cake I had ordered) was acceptable but unoriginal. Honestly, we had been looking forward to dining here for months and ended up wishing we had gone somewhere else.

We had a fabulous experience. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious! I will definitely be returning to this cute and tasty spot! Everything felt safe and clean. Outside seating was spacious and comfortable

We went here for our valentine’s date night. Very friendly service. The wine selection while good, I guess I expected more. The cheese plate was really tasty. Was disappointed with the croquettes. The pasta with the braised lamb Ragu was tasty. The veal pictured below was tender but I guess I wasn’t blown away by it after being told that it was a crowd favorite. I know this sounds negative overall but don’t get me wrong, we enjoyed our time there. Just that I probably expected more when I compare it to other top tier Italian spots in this area. It gets a solid 7/10 on my rating system.

Fantastic Italian, and really well located. Awesome outdoor space, and incredible pasta.

Excellent, upscale Italian restaurant on East Passyunk Avenue. Also features a large outdoor patio. They also have happy hours during the week. Great place to grab dinner before heading to a game. Excellent service as well.
