New Deck Tavern

Very well kept and welcoming restaurant. They provide large portions and for economical prices. We liked the food a lot and the staff members were very personal and explanatory. Highly recommended.

I am reviewing this 6 months later and still remember what I had. Just arrived in Philly at the time and had a Philly Cheese steak sandwich. I enjoyed it. I tried another one somewhere else, and this one at the Tavern was much better. We had a Poutine appetizer which was very good as well. We liked it here and returned another night of our 5 day stay. They have a good line up of beers, there's something for everyone. It was busy, but food came out in a decent time. Try it!

Update: On the second trip, I had the Grilled Chicken Summer Salad with Strawberries.

I've come here for work socials before, but this was my first time for a casual meal. Fantastic sandwiches on offer, some of the best fries I've had in a long long time, and great beer on offer. Friendly service, great ambiance, and cool interior decorating; 5 stars and I will definitely be returning

We were met with good service and were pleased with the beer selection. We tried the shepherd's pie and the blackened salmon. The shepherd's pie was good, but the vegetables that came with the salmon were mushy and overcooked, and the pilaf was dry and undercooked.
This seems like a good place for a couple beers with friends and/or to watch a game. The atmosphere is very casual and can occasionally get loud.

I loved this restaurant. We spent a long time searching for places to grab food before finding the new deck tavern. The food here is not pricey and delicious. Additionally, the staff was so sweet and helpful. We ate at the outdoor seating for dinner. Good food and good service!
