It’s their opening weekend, and I decided to stop in for some takeout and enjoy a margarita while I waited . I sat upstairs and was greeted graciously and swiftly by the bartender. She offered me a water while I looked over the menu, and then made me a phenomenal drink. It was a perfectly made margarita, and I enjoyed it so much I needed another. The restaurant was pretty busy, and my takeout food still came out promptly. We just finished the grub, and it was outstanding! Can’t wait to try more !
Very cool new addition to the East Falls neighborhood. Taqueria Cresta is a vibrant and fun place. The roof deck will be amazing when the weather warms up! The food and drinks were great while the staff was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend checking out this great/new Mexican spot!
Very nice addition to Midvale Ave! Plenty of tables and bar seating, cute decor, great location.
We went on opening day and things were running surprisingly well. Our waiter was nice and suggested a couple things. We got chips and salsa, 2 margaritas, brisket enchiladas and tacos, and churros. Everything was brought out in a reasonable time frame. The owner runs Bill Murphys Irish Saloon in the same neighborhood, and they’re known for their food. Chips were as you expect, the enchiladas were very tasty, Churros were sweet and crispy. I was told the tacos were great as well.
One suggestion: the website linked in the Instagram bio doesn’t lead anywhere. Bill murphys Instagram bio link for takeout also is broken. Personally I’d take them out if they’re not working or still getting set up, to avoid confusion for non regulars.
Overall, excited for warmer weather and the rooftop to open for happy hours. I’ll definitely be back!
I thought East Falls had it all! It has even more now. Stopped in for a quick snack and some drinks. This place is great. The beers were flowing, they margaritas were delicious, and the food was incredible. Definitely pop in when you can! I’m most excited for the warmer weather days and not saying no to a taco and margarita from this spot.
Stopped in for an afternoon snack, so excited to have a new (AND locally owned) restaurant in the neighborhood! The nachos were delicious and rivaled those from our other favorite taqueria- no more driving to manayunk for good nachos! Excited to come back soon and try more menu items.
