"Vegan•ish"

Been trying to get to this restaurant since February. Then the pandemic hit. Now it's August, I can truly say it was worth the wait!
The crab cake & fried cod sandwiches were good. As was the salmon burrito.

Very disappointed with the service at this restaurant. We really wanted to support this business. We called in a pickup order and we were told to pick up it in 30 minutes. Once we arrived we waited over 30 additional minutes. The staff lacked empathy and had no sense of urgency. There were a lot of people waiting for orders, some of which were canceled due to the long wait. The staff seemed to not have a care in the world. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our order and request a refund. We understand the restaurant was overwhelmed with orders. However, the staff needs to be aware that transparency and empathy go a long way. I previously had a tasty burger from here and appreciate the value of a black owned vegan place. That's why I didn't give it the 1 star it earned today. Hopefully the owner sees this and is able to make some adjustments to better serve their customers.

The food is absolutely amazing!! You must try the chickpea sandwich with cheese fries. Yum and yum!!! The sandwich has a slight and I mean slight spicy kick to it but not too bad. Also, try the vegan cupcakes. They are delicious and the perfect way to end your meal.

The food is amazing. The green-ish smoothie is the most delicious smoothie I've ever had, and I'm not a huge fan of smoothies. Very clean and friendly environment, the staff is very pleasant. Just one thing, if they could turn the music down just a little..... Other than that, it's a very nice place for a quick lunch or dinner well worth it.
