My group ordered a variety of meals, including the smoked scallops (cooked well but not seasoned at all), strip steak (cooked well, huge portion), filet (maybe a little undercooked but still good), and chicken (good flavor but a lot of bones and pink by the bones). All the sides we tried were not very good, but definitely steer clear of the asparagus, which was hardly cooked and not seasoned. Pretty sure everyone enjoyed their cocktails and the wine list is huge with lots of good options.”

“My wife and I visited the Flight 93 National Memorial today and then had dinner there. The food was great. They have the open pit BBQ on the weekends. I had the ribs. Meat was very tender and fell off the bones. My wife had the Philly cheese steak and loved it as well. Service was great. Highly recommend eating there if you are in the area.”

We could tell the chicken breast had just been grilled and was sliced fresh. French fries on salads is a little different, but it was good. The rooms need some updating, and our bathtub did not drain sufficiently. The views are gorgeous and the gold course looks like it is in great shape.”

“This small town restaurant is known for its delicious pizza. They do delivery service for an extra charge and now offer both inside and outside dining. If you are in the area, try out their new pizza challenge for a chance at $150. Staff are just about as nice as they come and have quite the sense of humor. Seating is basic but the atmosphere overall is top notch. I would recommend over major pizza corporations.”

“River's Edge B&B was our first stop on our bike trip on the Great Allegheny Passage. The River's Edge B&B is located in the small town of Confluence, PA. The River's Edge B&B is a charming place to stay. It's clean and comfortable for a great price. The owner is very kind and helpful. We started having car trouble a few miles before arriving at River's Edge. We arrived for our overnight reservation just as the restaurant was closing for the night. When I went inside to check-in for our reservation and mentioned that we were having car problems I truly could not believe how amazing the staff was. They put me on the phone with Allen, the local mechanic who agreed to come look at the car at 9:15 PM. We were originally going to be dropped off by my husband and mom who had planned on driving home that night however the car needed a new alternator so driving home in the dark wasn't an option. We had to add another room to our reservation. The staff offered to make us food even though the restaurant was closed. The next morning Allen drove my husband a few towns away to get an alternator that he would install that afternoon. It was late morning when they returned without the alternator because it had to be ordered and would be in around 2 PM. Since the car issue was putting a wrench in our plans we decided to add another day to our trip. Unfortunately, River's Edge B&B was booked for that night but the owner, Ann Marie was kind enough to help us find a place to stay. With help from the amazing people in this quant little town our sleeping arrangements were made for the night and with the promise that the car would be fixed later that day my son and I were now able to start our 3 day bike trip on the GAP.”
