The French Manor Inn and Spa

Staff was very friendly and accommodating to make our stay enjoyable. Our spa appointment for a couples massage was awesome. Our dinners in the manor were ok. Portions were generous and we were given an amuse bouche and cucumber sorbet as a palette cleanser. The meals averaged around 55 dollars and didn't include any soup or salad. Breakfast was part of the package and was ok too. Our room was spacious with a fireplace and dated but in a bad way. The bed frame was very ornate with lights at the top of the headboard but they didn't work. The bed itself was a nice king size but uncomfortable. The bathroom was large but in need of a make over, especially the shower. The fireplace was nice and toasty and warmed the room. It also had a nice sofa set in front of it to lounge on. The French Manor could be a five star with some tweaking.

It was a beautiful place that we were trying to book our small intimate wedding at but there was some lack of communication. I reached out through email and phone to get as much information as I could before signing a contract but it felt like I was forgotten or ignored. Kind of disappointed because it had EVERYTHING we were looking for but even if we had been contacted back now, I'm too nervous we'd we lost in the mix DURING wedding planning. We would probably still visit here for the views, breakfast, spa, and area attractions but I will no longer be pursuing a wedding there.

We had a a very quiet, romantic getaway here for the New Year and my wife’s birthday. Elegant and rustic, a comfortable combination pulled off nicely at this historic retreat. Service was excellent. Particularly Jude who is clearly a hospitality professional of the highest pedigree. All the staff was friendly and unobtrusive though. We really enjoyed this place. Wish they had a fitness center.

I have not stayed here overnight, but went to a breakfast party at the French Manor and it was superb. It was during December, so the decorations were fabulous, the staff very gracious and friendly. The atmosphere was very inviting and unique. We did a quick tour of the spa area also, and it looked super relaxing.

It is hard to find fully french restaurants and this place is a treat. Decor lighting and staff are all well matched. Outdoor surroundings are equally fitting. Both the dinner and breakfast are top notch food quality and service was a perfect mix of attentiveness and reservation. Highly recommend that everyone tries this experience at least once.
