Anthony's is a great place for Seafood! We have visited more than a dozen times. If Anthony's had 50 more seats they would be full. A very popular restaurant with a full fish market run out of the same building. Parking is always at a premium. We find looking out back next to the gym can serve you well or play the wait for someone to leave game. When you enter your greeted with the fish market. To your right are 2 lines to order. Make sure to grab a menu from the base of the sign so you know what you want before you get to the register. Once you place your order your given a tray with a number. The Host will sit you when a spot opens. Remember to grab your drink before the register. Alcohol can be ordered when you pay. Your food is brought out to you by servers. They also offer take out. The Take out register is separate around the corner to your left. If you want to sit at any of the tables outside you HAVE to go to the takeout reg. But have someone save your seat if you can. Dress code is beach casual. You'll see every attire possible. To sum things up. Foods Good! We'll be back.

Our favorite place for casual seafood on all of Aquidneck Island! We’ve been eating at their family’s restaurants longer than we can remember.
My personal favorite is the fried whole belly clams. My husband’s is the Rhode Island clam chowder. And the swordfish sandwich. Our extended family says the stuffies are the best, the clam boil is just as good as grandma’s, and the fish and chips are perfect. Don’t forget the mussels and steamers - delicious and healthy since they’re not fried.
I’ve also bought fish in the fish market to cook myself. Always a treat!
It can be crazy crowded on nice summer weekends. Come early - no reservations taken. Too bad the tourists have discovered our favorite local place - but it’s worth the wait.

Me and the wife ordered the lobster roll and fried calamari dinner and we loved it! Best fried calamari I’ve had in a while and the marinara dip it comes with was just as good! The prices for the quality of the food was great. The lobster roll was packed and the hand cut fries were perfectly crispy. Will 100% be coming back as this is our new favorite seafood joint

When traveling the best places to eat are always where the locals dine. Definitely proven true with Anthony's Seafood Restaurant in Middletown. My husband had the Nantucket platter and was extremely pleased. Being a landlubber, I ordered chicken fingers and fries. I was also very pleased. It was delicious. The line to order was long but moved quickly and the food came to our table in a timely manner. Definitely no frills but a great bang for your buck. I would highly recommend Anthony's Seafood.

On a recent visit to Newport, RI; my son in law and my daughter suggested we eat at this place...
We had passed it earlier and didn’t think much of it, it looked more like a fish store than a restaurant.
We decided to have lunch there, and we were surprised that there was a line but it moved fast.
We ordered baked swordfish and baked Tuna, for appetizer, we ordered clam ...
The swordfish was tender, juicy and succulent. The Tuna was just as good.
The servers were friendly and accommodating.
I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn’t mind the simple, shack like atmosphere.
