The Prime Rib is the best! I loved the mashed potato and the view, Andrea the manager was entertaining and had tons of local knowledge for us. To top it of the band was amazing! Will definitely be back!
I meant to leave a response earlier when I rated this 5 stars. We arrived at The Reef quite late on Saturday night looking for a place that we could relax and order some cocktails and a few apps. We had a large party. The service from the bartenders and ?manager was outstanding. We were able to sit outside and even though it was starting to rain, they accommodated us by opening enough umbrellas to cover all of us. It was a great nice. We were a happy but loud party. The food was exceptional. The chicken/skewers were so good and the seafood was fresh. I can’t wait to revisit this hidden gem next time we visit Newport!!
Loved this restaurant. Portion size is generous and the food was delicious. You can’t go wrong with the location, it is Right on the water. They have live music too. If you’re hungry and want a nice piece of meat try the prime rib with Rosemary horseradish. OMG- so good. Tell your boyfriend to order it. He won’t be disappointed. I have also tried their seared local sea scallops and the coconut chicken dish. Both were fantastic. This is a newly opened restaurant on the water in Newport and it’s fast becoming a local hangout. I’m so happy to have a place right on the water where you can chill out, have a beer or cocktail and listen to reggae or local talent. Five stars for the food, location and music. ESPECIALLY for the food. Yum. Yum. Yum.
Atmosphere was great. Live music and right on the water outdoor seating. The food is where you lost us tho. Things that were ordered were forgotten by our server and steaks and burgers for our group were not cooked and had to be sent back. Overall great idea just needs to be executed better.
Had a great dining experience at The Reef. The staff was very friendly, the food was exceptional. We had the coconut shrimp for an appetizer and it was delicious. I ordered the lobster roll with parmesan fries and it was to die for. The lobster was 100 percent real lobster meat. We had a few different specialty drinks that were fantastic. I will definitely go back next time I am in the area.
