Food is great.. Bar is noisy if you are trying to have a private conversation at your table..
Service is slow.. They keep the waitstaff to a minimum
Management seems to be fine with all this, because locals still come...
Music on Thursdays and some Saturdays
    Closed Sun and Mon
    Families welcome.

Didn't stay to eat. It took quite a while for them to realize we came in and seat us. Then it look even longer for them to come take out drink order so we left before we even got to out in a drink order. They were a little busy but they didn't even make up for it with friendly faces.

Diamond in the rough! My wife and I went here for New Year's Eve but we've been other times as well. We love the atmosphere, the building and the food is spectacular. The food is AMAZING! Did I already say that?

The building is old and wonderfully charming. It was owned by The Cornell family, yes that one, and in the 50's was bought by the owner's father. The place has tons of history and Joe (the owner) can tell you all about it.

Joe takes pride in purchasing high quality and fresh food. His son Mario is the head chef and consistently turns out food that you'd expect to find in expensive, upscale establishments.

I had the braised short rib with asparagus risotto. This was a New Year's Eve special. The short rib wasn't short. It was a huge piece of short rib meat on a bone that slid right out. But the star of the dish was the risotto! I've been to Italian restaurants in Boston and Providence and Mario's risotto was twice as good as the Italian restaurants!
