“While the food is very good, our service was pretty bad. The waitstaff were taking our dishes without asking if we were done and several times we weren't. Asked us if we wanted desert but never offered coffee. Good food but will think hard before going back. Hi Amy - We were a party of 5 that sat at the round table that's at the server station in the indoor/outdoor dining room. We sat at 630pm. we decided as a group to do a "sharing" type of dinner and ordered 4 apps and 3 entree's and eventually 3 desserts. And to start of the night, we disc0vereded aphids falling into our waters from the fern above us. Our only issue with that (things happen and that didn't bother any of us) but when the staff member came to remove the fern, they didn't excuse themselves nor asked my sister to please stand so they could get it, they reached over her to take it down and nothing else was said about it. And lastly, it seemed to us that, as the night went on, the waitress was less friendly over the course of time. Now to give you some background, I spent 25 years in Food Service in all venues from schools and hospitals to fine dining restaurants so I am well versed in the fun and joy of working with new staff. I truly understand how things work and we still tipped 20% on our bill. We just all had the same reaction when we left. “Surprisingly top notch tacos in RI, of all places, and at a small shack on a marina in Jamestown?? What a great find on a beautiful day. You pay a premium, though. Far from the $1 street tacos elsewhere, a fresh fish taco is around $5.50 and most others are $4. Considering the area, I guess this shouldn’t be a shock. The agua fresca and rice/beans were delicious. Would highly recommend anything on the menu! Friendly folk serving up tasty and fresh Mexican.”
