The menu has a surprise factor and the flavors are always unique and exquisite. This weekend I ate a four course meal and wish it never ended. The portions are small but still allow space in your stomach to sample other dishes. My favorite dish of the night was the Spanish Octopus served on creamy potatoes.
Some of our favorites from the a la carte menu were the scallops, gnocchi, and Spanish octopus. Other tiny tastings were brought between each course as well like lemon sorbet and mini macarons. We also shared a bottle of wine, recommended by our waitress. We left very full, loved that we got to try so many different things. It is quite pricey but I would recommend for a special occasion as it is a unique dining experience!
We went with a large group (10 people) and did the tasting menu with the wine pairing. It is not cheap and one of those outing you file under experience and not just dinner. The staff was very good and attentive and while the whole table did the tasting menu, the kitchen was able to accommodate multiple changes (no seafood, vegetarian, pescetarian). All used seasonal ingredients really well. Some dishes were better than others. No dish was an outright flop. The wine pairings were a little disappointing but that may depend on your palette. We had many wines that tended toward the sweet side. Overall, I'm glad I ate here and I'm glad a restaurant of this quality is thriving in Providence but that 7 course menu with wine is a steep cost with gratuity. Go for a very very special occasion but becoming a 'regular' would break my budget.
One of our favorite places in pvdc. Excellent service, well thought out menu and innovative flavors. The only downside is the high level of noise and our inability (a table of three people) to hear each other without having to shout.
Congratulations on the James Beard Award nominations! Well deserved.
Absolutely outstanding food, so many flavors. The staff was remarkable, attentive, and had plenty of knowledge of the food and menu. The atmosphere was exquisite. Very high end. I went during restaurant month and had a whole 3 course meal for under $40 and split it and was a decent amount of food. If you're ever in town check this place out 4 sure.
