The Village PVD

This was my first exposure to west African food and I’m hooked! I had the vegan spinach stew with pounded yam and it was awesome. The place is super cute too and the man who helped us was so kind and helpful! Can’t wait to go back :-)

I absolutely love this place! Went there with a couple of friends and everyone loved their orders. There isn't a bad choice in the menu and the server was so kind and welcoming. I can't wait to go back!

Stumbled upon this place and I am so grateful. The gentleman who helped me was so kind and answered all of my questions. The portions and price are fantastic and the taste is OUTSTANDING. Highly, highly recommend for anyone who is sick of the same 5 options in Providence.

The owner was really friendly and helpful explaining the different dishes to me. He gave me great recommendations and the food was delicious! The ambiance and environment of the restaurant is so beautiful. Very authentic options, but I really love that they offer vegetarian and vegan options as well! I will definitely be going back and telling all my friends.

Presentation is great! Loving all the new features (updated furniture, LED menu, white walls, & advertising, etc). Customer service is friendlier than the hostess at the other location (Warm welcome, happy to serve attitude). Location is convenient for it being right in the middle of Downtown Providence.

One thing to take note is compared to their other location, portion sizes are cut in half by at least 50%. Although the new packaging looks a lot more modern, and aids in recycling, this is something worth mentioning for the ‘long time’ customer.

Other than that… FANTASTIC! 👍
