y shabu shabu

There was literally a piece of a metal dish scrubby in our food. The customer service for this was that the waitress told us she would tell the owner...and we got a free piece of cake. Aside from the undesired metal add on, it's a super cool experience to customize these delicious dishes. All you can eat is sweet and reasonably priced especially if you consider you could eat ALL the meat and it would be the same price. The waiter we had was super cool..the one star for service is based on the piece of metal and customer service about the metal. One soup should have been comped in my humble consumer opinion.

Nice date night, and something different in dinning out. My daughter introduced me to this spot and wow what a treat. Make sure you bring your appetite cause it is pricey BUT all you can eat. Unfortunately my date is 9 ys old and is tall so they charge the adult price for him, $48.00. Kids menu is based on height, He does not eat as much as an adult but it is what it is. I think they should base it on age. Besides that a wonderful experience a must try....

Moving from Hawaii to Rhode Island has been different, and we have been dying to find a good shabu shabu place in Providence. We live right around the corner from Y Shabu Shabu and I was absolutely excited to bring my husband here!! Everything was amazing - the service, the meat choices, the broths - EVERYTHING. Paying almost $45 per head is kinda crazy in my opinion, but being that there aren’t many shabu shabu places here, I’ll take it. I’m just used to paying $30 per head at the most back in Hawaii! But nonetheless, this place hits the spot for shabu shabu!

My boyfriend and I went here for a date and it was the most AMAZING experience ever. Our waiter Ben was absolutely wonderful and made our time here so so memorable. He was punctual, checked on us multiple times, made sure we were comfortable, and provided the best hospitality we have EVER received in a Rhode Island restaurant. If you decide to go here, make sure to request him! Overall it was a pleasure to have Ben as our waiter and we will only ever request him when we go back. Other than Ben, food was amazing, came out fast, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful. 10/10 recommend coming here for an authentic and delicious meal. Thank you y shabu 🫶🏻

The newest hot pot spot in Providence and its definitely worth checking out. This is the first all you can eat hot pot restaurant I've ever been to and it is a different experience than La Mei, for example, but still great in its own way. The sauce bar here is unparalleled. The quality of the food was good, but I do prefer the proteins at La Mei. The service was good, but they did cut our disgusting, gluttonous selves off eventually. Dinner will cost right around $100, but it'll be the only time you need to eat all day... if you do it right.
