My husband and I have been living around the area for a few years now , and have been looking for a new diner to go to . So when we went today wasn’t sure how it would be because it didn’t look like it would be the best place. We still went in and ate the food was great was very happy got our bill brought it up to the waitress to give her the money . So we walk out I get in the car my husband was standing there talking to some guys . Next thing I no the waitress is at my door use didn’t give me all the money so I say oh I’m so sorry my husbands right there he will take care of it she goes over to him you tried to stick me . so my husband says what do you mean 8 +8 =16 +4 tip so he continues what did I screw up she flips the receipt over and has other amounts wrote on the back so he says I’m so sorry I didn’t know you would write on the back considering everything we ordered you totaled up on the front anyways he starts getting the rest of the money for the bill and he isn’t finished and she says your not even going to give me a tip ? He says I’m not even done yet I’m still giving you a tip . Either way it was very embarrassing it was an honest mistake normally when you go some place and you get your receipt there is not a total on the front then a different one on the back just thought we found a new dinner for us but not now she was basically assuming we purposely did it and she was screaming in front of everyone you are trying to stiff me your trying to not pay the full bill etc . Would have gave 5 stars ⭐️ but the situation was not handeled appropriatly and I’m honestly so embarrassed I probably wouldn’t feel comfortable going back . So I’m disappointed because other than that it was excellent

It's called "The Middle of Nowhere Diner". Its a basic food diner that does a very good job providing good food. It is also very reasonably priced yet the plate of food is generous you're likely to be bringing home a doggy bag.

This place is always busy so give yourself some time.

The Middle of Nowhere Diner is always good and consistent. Best breakfasts and good coffee. Home style. And they are generous with the bacon. Love it!

The Middle of Nowhere Diner. The waitress was pleasant and the food was great. Prices are nice too. I had scrambled eggs with French toast and regular toast and substituted fresh fruit for my home fries.

This was a treat, for sure! A cozy little out-of-the-way place with booth and counter service, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I got a turkey dinner (which is a plate many places find easy to cut corners) and it was all homemade and very tasty. I barely had room for dessert, but had to try the bread pudding. I was not disappointed! I'll come here again on my next trip back from RI.
