Of all the incarnations this place has been since 108 House This is by far my favorite. The service was great. The food was great. Love to music. No complaints. I would recommend to anyone.
Thank you very much we had an amazing experience here and the food was amazing. We had great Service, If you want to be treated like a valued guest this is the spot for you. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a solid meal. You did not feel rushed you could enjoy your meal. The food was delicious, and the prices are reasonable as well. We will be returning soon.
You have to try the large margaritas
This was our first time visiting Cantina del Rio. The restaurant was very busy, but we were able to find a seat right away. The staff was courteous and efficient. Our server was familiar with the menu (it is extensive) and was able to offer suggestions. The chips and salsa were good. We did feel like the salsa was too tomato-sauce-ish. The addition of some fresh tomatoes, garlic and cilantro would have brightened it up some.
My husband had Del Rio Enchiladas, I had the Burrito Bowl with chicken. He enjoyed his food. The burrito bowl was very good also--the mix of flavors was tasty, it was lighter fare, and it felt like real food. It was also satisfying, which is where some lighter dishes in restaurants miss the mark. The only improvement I would make on the Burrito Bowl would be to roast the corn and change the dressing to a vinegar base instead of mayo based. The dressing was a little too sweet and didn't help it very much flavor-wise. The black beans were nicely seasoned. The grilled chicken was very good.
We will probably go back. Our food came out very quickly--less than twenty minutes-- which is nice when a restaurant is busy. While not super-authentic, it was a pleasant place to eat and the food was decent for the price.
Nothing special: not bad, but not great. Basically, same old, same old. That said, the portions are huge, and the house margaritas are good, and not too sweet. Mexican food, such as it is, is what it is. I have been eating at "Mexican" restaurants for decades, and have yet to find one that strongly differentiates itself from the others: chains or individual. We vacationed a lot in Mexico over several decades, and have yet to find a match back here, except for one in MA. But don't let this review stop you. It's nice to finally have one nearby.
Great atmosphere , the food was great but one of the apps. We ordered came out cold . I want to say i knew they where a little busy , but if our waiter we had would've payed a little but more attention to the food i would've gave 4 stars. Gonna have to give it another try on a little bit slower night. I would definitely recommend trying this place .
