Not sure if it was just me or if anyone would have been turned off of the food. My cousin invited us to join her in checking this place out. Hubby was in the mood for lobster so we joined. Hubby got the Lobster, cousin got the deep fried lobster and I got the Captain Tony's Fried Platter since I couldn't decide what I wanted and wanted to be a little more adventurous than my normal fried shrimp.

My husband was happy with his lobster dinner. It came with the normal sides which he was happy to share with our kiddos. My cousin, was a little surprised by what she received, it was an actual whole lobster battered and deep fried. She said it didn't really change the taste of the meat inside, so it was good, just not what she was expecting. Then it came to my choice. It came with a mound of fried foods topped with french fries and onion rings. The rings were pretty good. The fries were fries. Then came the seafood. It came with calamari, whole belly clams, shrimp, scallops, and fish. The smaller items (clams and calamari) were pretty good. But the larger items were over battered and under-fried. The fish itself was cooked, but the batter was thick and not cooked through. I tried peeling and wiping what I could off, but I ended up with a stomachache about 15 minutes in so I stopped eating. Not sure if that was just from all the oily foods or because of the under cooked batter, either way I was done.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! It literally does not matter what you order - clam strips, clam rolls, lobster rolls, dough boys, clam chowder (white or red), or fish and chips, all are exceptionally made. All your senses will be glad you chose to eat at the Shore Dinner Hall. Don't visit southern Rhode Island without stopping by for lunch or dinner.
You can eat in or take it to go. There is plenty of sitting both inside and outside. There is a little play place for kids and a rocker sedan bench to eat at or sit while waiting for your meal/order.

Excellent real clam strips! And great service, friendly folk. Not cheap, not fancy digs, but great New England seafood.
