Sugar Magnolia

Ok soooo we have been wanting to try this place for awhile and ever since Kenny’s shut down we had to get over our disappointment that we would no longer be able to have Kenny’s anymore so with that being said we went to try it out. First impression when we walked in the door.... it looks a lot better with the new renovations. Very nice looking. Carpet is still the same old carpet that was at Kenny’s. We were greeted right away and sat at our table. We got our waters in a mason jar which was neat. Pretty sure water was from the tap but no big deal and not 100 percent on that but that’s what it tasted like, I ordered the meatloaf with macaroni salad mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese my significant other ordered hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. These are suppose to either come with corn bread or rolls. We chose rolls which came out cold which was very disappointing but they were still good definitely not anywhere close to the worse bread I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Our food didn’t take long but one of our biggest issues was I got macaroni and cheese pie and he got instant macaroni and cheese....I’m assuming they ran out of the pie and had to make some instant Mac and cheese, so that was disappointing. Macaroni salad wasn’t the best for my liking but Someone else might like it that way. My meat loaf was DELICIOUS and the mashed potatoes were also FANTASTIC! My significant other said the hamburger steak was pretty good he liked it. After we were finished we ordered a piece of chocolate cake.... I am very picky about cake because I loooove it so much..... and I’m not a big fan of chocolate but this cake was awesome , literally if you don’t want to go for anything else go for the freaking cake! So yummy and rich! Prices were not awful in my opinion. Best word of advice, just try it. Worse case scenario you don’t like it and you never go back or you love it and you keep going over and over again. Good luck!

OMG! First time trying chicken and waffles! So delicious! Chicken is the most tender chicken I've ever eaten. So good! Thank you so very much for a wonderful breakfast!

Today was me and my boyfriend’s first time eating at Sugar Magnolia! We both got there chicken and waffles which were bomb and we got super full because the portions was awesome! Also they serve there drinks in the cutest big mason jars and I got there homemade lemonade which was amazing! I highly recommend Sugar Magnolia! 😋

I went for lunch and ordered the Italian Sub with potato salad.The BEST Italian Sub I've eaten from any restaurant!! The bread was DELICIOUS 😋 MMMMM GOOD.. I'm looking forward to trying everything on the menu.

I am so excited to put this place on the map.
When I heard this restaurant was opening and who was bringing it to us (having known them as great additions of other establishments) I dropped everything to go try out the food.

Firstly it is not connected to any other Sugar Magnolias that might be out there in GA specifically.

Also they are still at this point waiting on their own sign so from the street it is still "Kenny's".

As for the menu it is very classic southern Meat and ''2-3".
We had a sloppy Joe and the Chicken fried steak. Sides were Mac and cheese, fries, southern greens and fried cabbage!

The home made roll/bun on the sloppy Joe was perfect, firm enough to eat as an actual sandwich and soft enough to eat with a fork.
The breading on the actual steak (not hamburger) was amazing! The gravy was pretty great as well, the brown was just a hint too salty but when you are training new staff you're bound to run into seasoning issues, the greens were also a bit salty but oh man those flavors were soooo good.

Now lunch is important and it was great don't get me wrong, but the cake here... oh my lort... Always save room for cake. The coconut cream is the best cake this side of the universe! The red velvet is great too if you like that sort of cake.

They are still getting through the new store new staff hiccups but I have no doubt in the abilities of the owners. Can't wait to go back in a few months!
