“I was having a really bad day as I had made an hour-long Uber trip to work on this lady's house and was turned away because she was dissatisfied with the service she got before I arrived. I wandered over to this local eatery to rest while I waited on another Uber to come back to get me. While I was here I had the salmon Alfredo which is served on Mondays and Fridays, it was perfectly cooked, and came with a side salad, texastoast buttered-bread, and hush puppies all of which were delicious. The cooks and the clerk were all very friendly and seem well enough to enjoy their time at work. If I ever find myself back in the area, I will definitely be stopping in again! Great job guys!”

“We only can give it 3 stars but I still recommend a stay (for one night). It is only 3 stars because of the value in comparison to the costs. The positives: most of the staff were friendly, the breakfast was delicious (although a fruit option is needed), the beds are comfortable, it is walking distance to restaurants, shops and waterfront. The negatives: the evening appetizers and deserts were disappointing. We saw several posts from the inn with signature cocktails but none were severed the four days we were there (we were only offered wine one of the days). Coffee is not ready until 7:30 and sometimes it isn’t ready until 8:00. The inn is beautiful but like all historic inns it needs constant upkeep. We enjoyed room 7 but be advised all the rooms require many stairs. Some of the stairs are uneven and would be very difficult for anyone with any mobility issues.”

Had jambalaya and shared a steamed artichoke with a fabulous dipping sauce from their grazing menu; others in the party raved about the hangar steak and the shrimp, which came with an amazing remoulade (menu changes weekly). Everything was out of this world delicious. Aside from the food, the thing that really makes this place is the team that runs it. We ate at the bar (there's a lovely courtyard too) and enjoyed chatting with then and watching the place hum. Definitely worthy of a visit and a repeat.”
