Jah’Nya’s Caribbean Cuisine

My wife and I stumbled upon Jah'Nya's while tooling around Beaufort on bikes, and we were glad that we did. We had the snapper (escovitched) and the saltfish and ackee, and both were as good as we have had at any other Caribbean restaurant anywhere. Keep in mind that both of these dishes are made to order, so definitely call ahead.

Watts and the family really bring the island flavor to a place you don’t expect to find authentic Jamaican cuisine. Having grown up eating everything they offer on the menu, I was (am) extremely biased when I eat Caribbean food. Jah’Nya’s (and New Jade) put that doubt to rest.

My husband and I recently spent a week camping at Hunting Island State Park. During our stay we came across this awesome restaurant. We aren’t all that familiar with Caribbean food, but we wanted to switch it up a little. We were NOT disappointed! I chose the oxtails and my husband got the goat curry, along with some beef patties. Everything was delicious!! If we’re ever back in the area I’m certain we will be visiting again. Thank you!

The Jamaican rice and peas are perfect! Just like my former Jamaican mom-in-law made. Curry chicken, brown stew chicken and jerk pork very tasty. Generous portions. Good prices. Very friendly family place.
