Gilligan's Seafood Restaurant- At the Dock

What can I say about Gilligan's. It has great food and a great location looking onto the river. The staff are friendly as always and did I mention the food was great. lol. The prices are just a bit high, but the food is worth it for this area. Whether your a local or vacationing here if you go out to eat you need to try this place. It's been great to our family for decades.

This is the best Gilligan's location. We never have a problem getting a seat no matter when we go, even with a group of 10+. The food is good, the service is great and we always enjoy ourselves. They do have a dock that you can hook your boat up to if you're coming in off the Tailrace Canal. They do have outdoor seating and a bar. Good for any age, they have more than just seafood so anyone can find something to eat here.

We were a little reluctant to try Gilligan’s because of some of the reviews, but we’re glad that we decided to go see for ourselves. The Bacon Wrapped Crab Stuffed Shrimp was possibly the best appetizer I’ve ever had. Who would’ve thought that you could combine three of my favorite things into one delicious morsel. The Shrimp and Flounder was also delicious and more than I could eat. The Mozzarella Sticks were also the best that we’ve ever had. My wife had the Grilled Chicken and it was cooked to perfection. The waitress (I don’t recall her name) was friendly and courteous. Although we were seated away from the rest of her section she didn’t forget about us. She makes a pretty good margarita, too. The manager came and checked on us and was polite and courteous as well. The location was great with a great view. Next time that we’re in Moncks Corner we’ll be visiting Gilligan’s again.

Very good service. Generous servings. Great location and view! I was expecting the server to say "just sit right back and hear a tale, a tale of a fateful ship .." or something the likes of such. They should open another store across the river and call it "The Skipper".
