The CODfather, Proper Fish & Chips II

Finally made it out to The Cod Father’s new location in Summerville. I’ll let the photos do the talking but we ordered Fish & Chips, a Steak & Ale Pie and 2 Sausage Rolls.

Wow, bloody wow !!! What a treat. Just an incredible experience from start to finish. Just love the set up, decor and atmosphere.

The customer service is top notch and the pub set up is really impressive.

Thanks Adam and The Cod Father Team for yet another brilliant experience. You made our day.

Love the original location, checked out the new location- same amazing food and bar! best fish and chips anywhere. Meat pie also excellent. This location is a bit bigger inside. We went about 7p on a Friday and parking was a challenge- lots of restaurants in that plaza. When we left there were a lot of spots- so would recommend coming at a non-peak hour if you can.

Amazing fish and chips done right. The fish is lightly battered and flavorful without being too salty. They give you a generous helping a fish and some homemade tartar sauce to dividend. Friendly staff and great atmosphere too. There's also a bar section if you want that full pub experience. They also provide outdoor seating. If you love fish, you got to try this place.

They really nailed the formula. This place is a great option if you don't want to hike out to park circle. The food and service are every bit as good, and it's a decent atmosphere, reminiscent of a limey pub. I do miss the patio, but maybe not enough for an extra 20mins drive.

For those who haven't been: it's great fish n chips, English style. HUGE piece of flaky cod and more chips (french fries) than a healthy person should eat. They also have a few savory pies they rotate through, plus a sausage roll.

Simple menu but very tasty. There's kinda always a line, but they crank through it quick enough so don't be scar't.

I THOUGHT I loved the other location but somehow they made it even better with the new one! Absolutely delicious!! Extremely generous portions at a confusingly low price. Will definitely become a regular here.
