Vegan food aficionados from miles around rejoiced when Annie opened the Cafe of Sweet Abundance. We have her strong work ethic and dedication to thank for such delectable treats as MacDaddy Chick'n, Cookie Doh, and a plethora of vegan cheesecakes and cookies. The friendly and welcoming cafe staff receive embarrassingly frequent orders from me, and yet their food and customer service is consistently high-quality. The Cafe of Sweet Abundance has strengthened Charleston's reputation as a great place to live and eat, and if you ask me, that more than justifies my loyalty as a customer.
This place deserves more than 5 stars!! It's absolutely fabulous to know there's a bakery near home that I'm not worried to eat at because there's no gluten or processed sugar in any of their DELICIOUS baked goods!! You won't even know the treats are gluten free. The cookie dough truffles - delectable. The cookies and cheesecakes- mouth wateringly yummy! I'll continue to be a loyal customer!!
Just moved to the area and kept driving by this awesomely painted cafe. Finally went there today and took my 4 year old for lunch and a treat. Wow! Awesome!
I had the Fungi and my kiddo had a triple decker grilled cheese. I have honestly never been a big fan of Tofu or non-dairy cheese but this food was amazing. Totally sold on this. Genuinely makes me consider the possibility of sustainable vegan eating.
Then the cookies! YES! I am a cookie fiend and they have it nailed.
We will be regulars.
So I've recently started eating vegan and this place was highly recommended. This place is Soo good!! I had a PB cookie and my friend and I split the Mac daddy and fungi sammi. I preferred the Fungi but they were both delicious. I just wish they came with a bag of vegan chips or some french fries or something especially since the food is on the expensive side. Additionally, the sandwiches were kind of....delicate? They fell apart fairly quickly. Tasted good but wished they were a little bit more solid.
The building itself is also pretty cool looking with an amazing upstairs eating area. The staff there are also super nice!!!
