Almost always busy, but worth it! Their breakfast foods in particular, especially the omelettes, are tasty and have very generous portions. Their grits are the creamiest and tastiest I have ever had. Great food at reasonable prices!

Breakfast food is awesome, especially French Toast and biscuits and gravy. Prices are totally fair. Chicken here is super processed though and service leaves a lot of be desired. They are very busy and have team style service which leads to untimely (or lack of drink and coffee refills) needing to get up to ask for things, etc. They should switch to one server covering a few tables so they are more attentive.

Pretty overrated. I went in after reading the reviews expecting something good if not great, but the food was...underwhelming, mediocre. It was on the par of Alex's in Summerville or Goose Creek rather than some hole in the wall treasure as most claimed. Food came quickly, though service was not great - they filled up quickly and had more demand than servers. Toast was DRY, bland, eggs...tasteless? Potatoes decent, but serving was small for price. Country fried steak was good, but mostly for the gravy, which was the one good thing for sure. Ordered French toast too after seeing the pictures, but it was painfully run of the mill. I could make better at home. :/ I feel like some of their more adventurous choices are probably more satisfying and baked goods looked tasty, but not worth the price after such an expensive and mostly unsatisfying meal. I wish I could say something more positive. Enjoyed the sweet tea!

We had breakfast there a day ago. I've only eaten there twice. Once when I visited the area and a day ago since I have relocated to Charleston. That eating experience was truly the best I've had in a very, very long time. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was great and the lines were long! It clearly evident that the Bear E Patch has already made a very good name for themselves, so whatever this customer writes is her personal experience that I wish to share with anyone who will listen. Bear E Patch did not disappoint in anyway. I recommend it whole heartedly. Fresh ingredients, exceptional service and a small but friendly atmosphere. I believe that if you try it, you won't be disappointed either.

Always a good meal with good service. I started eating here when I moved to Charleston in 2007. Hasn't changed a lot since then and that is a good thing. Daily specials keep the menu interesting. They even cook a hamburger up for my crazy daughter every time she asks while the rest of us have traditional breakfast fare. If someone comes into town and wants a good breakfast this is where I take them.
