    Excellent all the way around. The server was very engaging in conversation. The food was perfectly cooked.

    Always a great time. My band is good friends with Don and JoJo, and those guys are some of the best people we know in Charleston. High quality food/drinks, nice atmosphere, and great events!

    Best restaurant in all of Charleston. Staff and servers are the most polite and helpful that I have ever met. Food was gourmet quality at an affordable price. Owner greets and ensures everything is to top standard. Will be back for sure!!!

    My husband and I had our wedding reception dinner here Saturday (June 1st) and honestly, our expectations were exceeded. Burwell’s General manager went above and beyond to make everything absolutely perfect, even down to cutting and serving our cake himself! Theresa and David were exceptional servers and never missed a beat. So courteous and attentive. The food was delicious as well! We had such an amazing, beautiful evening and we owe a huge thank you to this restaurant and it’s staff!!!

    John Thomas continues to put his full effort into making sure everyone is acknowledged and happy with his restaurant. He pays attention to so many details from his original recipe for deviled eggs, his home made ginger ale for the Moscow mules to the specialty beef offerings like Hanger Steak. Definitely visit john and the team there during your Charleston visit.
