Bushido Japanese Restaurant

Good food, good service, and decent prices.

When I first moved to Charleston 4.5 years ago, Bushido was the first Japanese restaurant I tried here and I never looked back. I tried sushi for the first time ever at Bushido and I fell in love! This restaurant has both a casual and upscale vibe all at the same time. I’ve brought all of my visiting friends to this restaurant during their trips and they’ve all enjoyed it so much that they request it any time they’re in town! I introduced my husband to this restaurant a couple years ago and got him to try sushi here (which is wild because he’s such a picky eater!!) I have never had a bad experience here and the food is always incredible. The only reason I give 4 stars instead is 5 is because it seems like they are understaffed at times and they could benefit from having some extra help.

My favorite place for happy hour sushi and sake

A new favorite of my husband and mine. So many fresh and healthy options, delicious sushi, and great prices. I love the tuna tartar, honey salmon rolls, salad or naruto roll, and their hibachi is really great too. Nothing is too greasy, the vegetables are all freshly steamed, the meat is lightly seasoned and super tasty. A new staple of ours. So glad we found this place. Great daily and happy hour specials too, and the bartender, he is super friendly and accommodating!

One of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been to. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was incredible, and the food was very delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're in West Ashley.
