Hyman's Seafood

Our second trip to Hyman's and we can say that it is definitely a family favorite when we're in town! The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. Try the hush puppies for sure. Every bite is savory. Word of advice - there is a parking garage right across the street on the side street. You'll be happy you parked there because you literally roll out after eating!

This place had the best seafood I have had in a really long time. The shrimp and crab cakes were fabulous. My husband had the flounder and it filled up the entire plate. All the food was great and wait staff very attentive and friendly! A great place to eat!

Best seafood place I have ever had hands down. From the hush puppies while you’re outside waiting to be seated to the coleslaw up to the 3 seafood combo I got. Everything was divine and the ambiance was great! Even their signature Bahama Mama, I will definitely go back when I return to Charleston! Angelo was great and very knowledgeable about the menu !

Definitely lives up to the hype! Saw from a distance a big wait outside. Still gave it a try, thought what the heck! Well, our wait had about 20 people in front and said 30 minutes. Only took maybe 20 minutes! And while we waited a gentleman came out and greeted everyone with amazing hush puppies! After we were seated our server was very friendly. He made sure we were well taken care of. He brought us boiled peanuts and hushpuppies while we waited for apps and entrees. Our food was very good. We had the shrimp dinners with grits and coleslaw. They have some of the best grits and cocktail sauce I’ve ever had. An overall great experience and Charleston charm on our vacation. Great atmosphere, great seafood, amazing staff.

This was hands down the best seafood spot I have eaten at so far. The waitress was amazing and the gentleman walking around asking us how our food was and small talk was great. They really care about you. I'm from up North, so whenever I am down in South Carolina I know where I am coming too. Thanks for an awesome meal and experience. Definitely worth your time and money.
