We loved this restaurant. My husband took me for my bday and they really took care of us. The food was amazing, the service was 5 star, and the location was so nice. The hotel it was in was super cute and it was in a great location. The steak was delicious and my hubby loved the red snapper and hes not a big fish person. The golden gazpacho was very different, fresh, and tasty. We'd highly recommend this place.

Reliably wonderful food, wine, service at the Peninsula Grill. Tables outside on the courtyard are lovely. The baked oysters (Rockefeller) are the best we have EVER had. Don't miss this place! We celebrated our 37th anniversary there. Ambience, food and service were all outstanding. It had been a number of years since we last dined there. It was as wonderful as we had remembered. We won't wait so long to go back next time.

Let me give a big shout out to Dave and Eric for making our dinning experience delightful and wonderful!! The duck was cooked to perfection, melted in my mouth! The minor reservation issues I had was took care of expeditiously (Eric). The 3-way Lobster was good all 3 ways. The wine was fine and the food was on time (Dave). I will definitely let my fellow New Yorkers know this is the spot when u come down south to visit!! Brooklyn

The service was probably the best I have ever had. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and look forward to going back. It's fine dining but not pretentious. The food is elegantly served and tastes even better than it looks. Portions are not enormous but you won't leave hungry. Without a doubt it was the best restaurant I have ever been to in Charleston, and just about anywhere else.

I would venture to say this is the best meal I've had in Charleston - even better than Husk. From the moment you walk in the door, you will be treated so well by the highly professional staff. It truly feels like an old fashioned fine dining establishment. Nothing trendy or hipster - just good service and good food. The she crab soup is a MUST. Wow. And the bread and butter with the smoked salt - divine. My bf and I both had scallops for our entrees, and everything on the plate was just perfect. And of course, we had to get the famed coconut cake. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. My bf doesn't even like coconut, and he loved it. I truly understand the hype.
