Permanently closed. We loved this little spot within walking distance of the house. Over the last few weeks/months, they started receiving bad Department of Health and Environmental Control grades and decided to close. We look forward to a new restaurant here in the future, and hope they have an excellent cocktail bar, high-quality food, and great atmosphere.

What a fantastic surprise! This restaurant will make me miss SF Bay much less. Quite decent wine list and Italian favorites done with excellence, in addition to local seafood on a seasonal basis. I look forward to returning here often. Gets busy, make reservations during popular times. Great staff!

A total delight!! Everything was delicious, server was very cordial and helpful. Will definitly come back next time in town.

In a search for the best Italian restaurant in Charleston (a hotly debated topic), LaTabella is our choice for a few reasons. The food is consistently great and at almost 40% less cost than anywhere close to the same quality. I always use veal as a measure for comparison: Their veal has a grain and flavor like none I've ever tasted. Upon inquiry, they have it shipped in from Strauss farms in the Midwest, who is known to have thee best veal. The mussels, the house made bread, you'll find all your Italian favorites here. I've brought some fairly picky Italians here and all have been equally impressed.
