The best ribs I have ever tasted in my life. Absolutely delicious. It was one of those rare meals that I've had that make me grateful that we are even able to be treated with such amazing flavor in meat. This is the type of spot that would make me feel like I'm cheating if I ate ribs anywhere else. I absolutely recommend this place to anybody.

Wow!! Visited from Atlanta and friends recommended...glad they did! Such a treat, best pulled pork available in USA. Good service ..(not great and would normally drop a star, although... great BBQ!) Highly recommend.

A local recommended Rodney Scott’s BBQ and off we went. This restaurant is located in a congested part of Charleston. Parking on site is tight. Use the parking lot across the street. The staff is friendly and orders arrive quickly even during the lunch rush. For the money, the sandwiches are smallish, but very tasty.

As a native Texan and foodie, I was ready to try Carolina barbecue with an open mind. Would their BBQ compare well to the Lone Star’s version? What’s this about vinegar based sauce?

It was recommended during the city tour that we try some from an establishment named Rodney Scott. Well, I’m pleased to report that Mr. Scott’s pork ribs were quintessentially southeastern BBQ! The fall-off-the-bone meat was tender and immersed with flavor from inside out. I only sampled the sauce because it really wasn’t needed. Yup, them ribs were that finger lickin’ good!

No comfort style dinner is complete without a heaping of mac-n-cheese and perfectly cooked collard greens. These sides paired perfectly with the entree. The food was washed down with (really) sweet tea. We enjoyed the experience under the outside patio lights. That and the cool evening air made for a delightful ambience. Overall, it was delectable & delicious dining experience that I’d love to repeat.

I always thoroughly enjoy my experience at Rodney Scott's. Each time I try something different, whether it be a side or the type of meat. The pork is flavorful and moist on its own. The sauces compliment the flavor without ruining the hard work put in by the pit master. The beans are smokey without being full of molasses or brown sugar. The hush puppies are on point, the cornbread just the right amount of crispy/done, and the green's just the way your grandmother made them.

To round it out, the banana pudding is a must. Either take some of your entree home or order less and save room.

Don't let the crowds or lack of parking scare you away. They're incredibly gracious and efficient even with a full dining room and long line to order.
